Mid Level WordPress Shopify Developer (Remote)

We’re seeking a web developer with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in web development, with a particular focus on WordPress and Shopify. You will work closely with our design and development teams to bring Figma designs to life, ensuring flawless QA and SEO optimization, while driving a performance score of 90+ across all Lighthouse metrics (Performance, Best Practices, SEO, Accessibility). Your ability to solve complex problems, work efficiently, and integrate third-party APIs is essential.

They’re looking for an experienced Web Developer with a strong track record of delivering polished and bug-free WordPress and Shopify builds, ensuring that our clients receive websites that meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive and high-quality WordPress and Shopify websites, translating Figma designs into clean, bug-free code.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance (QA) to ensure no bugs or discrepancies from the design.
• Optimise websites for SEO and ensure high performance, achieving a 90+ score on all Lighthouse metrics (Performance, SEO, Best Practices, Accessibility).
• Collaborate with the design and development teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services as required, ensuring smooth functionality and troubleshooting issues.
• Stay up to date with web development trends, tools, and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on WordPress and Shopify.
• Experience with the following WordPress builders is desired/required: Elementor, Breakdance, WPBakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer), Beaver Builder, Divi Builder, Gutenberg (WordPress Block Editor) etc.
• Experience with eCommerce development, including integrating payment gateways and inventory systems.
• Take ownership of the website functionality requirements, ensuring you understand exactly what needs to be delivered before development.
• Proven track record of developing websites that match design specifications with minimal bugs.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
• Experience in SEO optimization and website performance tuning, with a history of delivering 90+ Lighthouse scores.
• Expertise in API integration and third-party services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Figma, and experience working closely with design teams.
• Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility standards.
