Our client is an industry leader in providing high-quality drilling equipment and rig solutions to a wide range of industries, including mining, oil and gas, and construction. With a reputation for delivering advanced technology and exceptional customer service, we are expanding and seeking a talented Business Development Manager to help us accelerate growth and maintain our competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase market share in the drilling equipment and rigs sector.
  • Identify, target, and engage new clients in the mining, oil and gas, and construction industries, focusing on drilling equipment and rig sales.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including senior executives, project managers, and procurement officers.
  • Provide expert product knowledge and guidance on drilling equipment and rig solutions, ensuring clients understand the value and capabilities of our offerings.
  • Manage and grow a sales pipeline, driving deals from initial inquiry through to successful closing.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms for both clients and the company.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitors, feeding insights back to the leadership team to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, engineering, operations) to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional customer support.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the business.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven success in business development, sales, or account management within the drilling equipment, rig, or heavy machinery industries.
  • Deep understanding of drilling equipment and rig operations, including their applications in mining, oil and gas, and construction.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-driven, with the ability to work autonomously and effectively manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Solid track record of closing deals, managing complex sales processes, and exceeding targets.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Previous experience with drilling rigs or equipment sales is a must
