Java Developer (Remote)

Location: Remote within Poland

Project: Migration of legacy system to a microservices architecture in the security sector.

Project Overview

Join our Rite NRG team as a Java Developer and become part of a dynamic group focused on migrating a legacy security management system to a modern microservices architecture. Over the past 10 years, our team has developed and continuously enhanced this trusted system, which is relied upon by some of Germany’s largest state-owned companies across critical sectors, including telecommunications, logistics, airports, and the military.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications using the Spring framework (Spring Core, Spring Security).
• Create clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and offer feedback to improve team code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Cooperate with Frontend and DevOps Engineers to provide support with some UI or Dev-Ops related tasks.
• Provide technical support to product management and sales during requirement analysis.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing Java-based web applications, preferably using the Spring framework (Spring Core, Spring Security, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Proficiency in API design and integration.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Fluency in Polish and advanced level of English (B2/C1).

Nice To Have

• Knowledge of front-end languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, Angular).
• Experience in DevOps processes and tools.
