Who are we?
The Hatchery is a hybrid conference and events company with a purpose to connect people with knowledge to inspire change. We curate, produce and run timely, well researched conferences across a range of industry verticals, mainly within publicly funded organisations.
We are a dedicated team of professionals with years of experience and a wealth of industry knowledge. We work at a fast pace and collaborate to deliver high quality events that make a positive change in the community.
The Role
As the Event Coordinator, you’ll manage end-to-end event tasks with guidance from senior team members. From liaising with facilitators and venues to ensuring seamless online experiences, your efforts will play a pivotal role in creating memorable and impactful events. This role is best suited for a self-motivated individual with a proactive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional customer service to ensure our events are a success.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute hybrid masterclasses and seminars, ensuring a flawless experience for attendees and facilitators.
- Collaborate with marketing, venues, and suppliers to meet event requirements.
- Provide tech support for online events, including managing polls and breakout rooms.
- Deliver onsite event assistance, including setup, registration, and pack down (some local and interstate travel required when required).
- Stay on budget while contributing to innovative event solutions.
- Reflect on event performance and share insights for improvement.

What we’re looking for:Â
- 1+ year experience in event operations, hospitality, or similarÂ
- Have a passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Strong prioritisation and time management skills.Â
- Confident using online booking systems.
- A high level of energy, enthusiasm, creativity and drive to succeed
