Position Responsibilities:

The Cloud Infrastructure Delivery Engineer will work within the Infrastructure Delivery team to develop and deploy new infrastructure and platform solutions to support our next generation and modernization of our Deltek Cloud platform leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This individual is responsible for driving modernization of Deltek’s Cloud platform services including: the design and delivery of new cloud infrastructure in collaboration with the Architecture team, the delivery of ongoing project work related to continuous improvement of operations, proactive management of infrastructure, rectification of issues before they become incidents, resolution of incidents in a fast and efficient manner when escalated, identification of problems underlying incidents/resolution of root causes, and identification of opportunities for improvement in every facet of operations.

Implement and manage cloud system deployments including the following:

•  Modernization and support automation everywhere

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) SME, administration and environment Provisioning

•  Evaluate new technologies to drive Deltek’s modernization roadmap.

• Provide advanced technical solution design to meet business requirements.

• Troubleshoot complex problems, provide software fault diagnosis resolve operational issues, and interact with vendors, etc.

•  Define and document system architectures, system configurations, and technical operational processes and policies.

• Create and implement monitoring, procedures, tools, and standards related to system, and application security (e.g., intrusion detection, denial of service, configuration change, cross site scripting, SQL injection, OS patching, etc).

•  Administration and implementation, including IaaS and PaaS in AWS and OCI. Serverless experience is a plus

Qualifications:

•  Computer Science/Engineering Degree

•  5+ years of hands-on experience and deep working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Public Cloud.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with configuration management tools and concepts (e.g., DSC, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Puppet, etc.)

• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and concepts

• 3+ year of experience with Kubernetes

• 3+ years of experience administrating nginx servers

• Understanding and experience working with open-source products like Apache Superset, Keycloak, Grafana, Prometheus, PostgreSQL etc. is a plus

• Experience with networking and security concepts, methods and technologies in large scale production in OCI

• Experience with OpenAI or AWS Bedrock based AI offerings is a plus.

• Strong scripting skills: Bash and Python

• Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short- and long-term requirements.

• Passionate about technology and solving IT operations-focused problems.

• Must be detail oriented, task driven, and have excellent communication skills. Customer service focus is key.

• Ability to work effectively with staff, peers, and others in and outside the organization to accomplish goals, objectives and to identify and resolve problems.

•  English language fluency is required.
