About the Role:
Are you passionate about designing user-centred services that truly make a difference? We are seeking a skilled and creative Service Designer to join our Defence and Security team. This role focuses on creating innovative, human-centred service experiences for complex systems and challenges.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of digital experts to design exceptional services that address user needs while meeting business objectives. Your work will span large, intricate journeys, ensuring coherence across the various layers involved in delivering services.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analysis to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviours.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define measurable service goals and objectives.
Develop service blueprints, customer journey maps, and other artifacts to visualize and communicate the service experience.
Align design decisions across elements like people, process, policy, data, and technology.
Identify opportunities for service improvements and propose innovative design solutions.
Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with user researchers to incorporate insights into design decisions.
Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure the feasibility and implementation of design solutions.
Conduct usability testing and integrate feedback to refine service experiences.
Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in service design.About You:

Requirements:
Developed Vetting (DV) UK security clearance.
Proven experience designing end-to-end services, including the creation of service design artifacts.
Strong knowledge of user-centred design principles and methodologies.
Excellent communication skills for presenting and articulating design concepts.
Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex systems and identify opportunities.
Familiarity with agile and iterative design processes.
