BEAM Society Limited (BSL) is an independent, non-profit membership organization established in 2010. BSL is also recognized as a tax-exempt charitable organization of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap112) and as a public body under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap 201) since 2016.

BEAM Society was established in 1996, which was later incorporated in 2010 as BEAM Society Limited. Being the developer and owner of the Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM), BSL is committed to administering and developing the BEAM Plus Assessment Tools. We offer impartial assessment on building sustainability and build capacity by providing training for BEAM practitioners – BEAM Professionals (BEAM Pro) and BEAM Affiliates.

Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and support the ongoing development of the iBEAM Assessment Automation System and other BSL’s digital platforms.

2. Assist in liaising with professionals in the community and the building industry for views and comments towards the iBEAM Assessment Automation System.

3. Liaise with IT contractors in designing the user requirements for the iBEAM Assessment Automation System.

4. Assist in enhancing the UX interface for the iBEAM Assessment Automation.

5. Answer technical enquiries regarding the usage of the iBEAM Assessment Automation System.

6. Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or higher in Building Analytics/ Built Environment/ Architecture/ BS Engineering/ Environmental Engineering/ Sustainability/ Town Planning or related discipline; Master degree in the same discipline is preferable.

2. For the Senior Project Analyst role :
Minimum 3 years of experience in built environment consultancy, with at least 1 year experience in ESG analytics/ building analytics/ smart city initiative design;

Recognized green building professional qualification, e.g. BEAM Pro, LEED AP, WELL AP, etc;

Professional qualifications in architectural/ planning/ engineering/ surveying and environmental discipline obtained in either Hong Kong or recognizable jurisdictions, e.g. HKIA/ HKIP/ RTPI/ HKIE/ HKIS/ RICS/ HKIQEP, etc. will be an advantage.

Solid project management experience with BEAM Plus, LEED or any other green building projects;

For the Project Analyst role

Relevant post-qualification working experience in smart city implementations, green building consultancies and/or community engagement initiatives will be an advantage.

Possession of recognized green building professional qualification will be an advantage.

3. Effective communication in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);

4. Strong research & analytical skills and strategic thinking;

5. Excellent presentation skills and ability to research report writings;

6. A good team player with work ethics, especially regarding integrity and confidentiality;

7. Self-driven, well-organized, good analytical power, attention to details, strong coordinating ability with good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to interact skillfully with internal and external stakeholders;

8. Ability to handle multitasks and prioritize schedules, capacity to work under pressure with tight deadline.
