As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facility’s equipment and systems. You will be responsible for implementing preventive maintenance programs, responding to work requests, and managing resources effectively to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Job Description

Main Duties

– Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on various building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
– Diagnose and repair malfunctions in equipment and systems promptly and efficiently
– Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from staff and management in a timely manner
– Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruptions
– Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory using CMMS software
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
– Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies
– Assist in the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives
– Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively.

– Technical Trade School Certification in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing, or a relevant bachelor’s degree in Engineering
– Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar maintenance engineering role
– Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
– Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
– Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure
– Strong organizational and time management skills
– Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments
– Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed
– Familiarity with energy management systems and sustainability practices (preferred)
– Experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance (preferred).
