At Athlete’s Thread, we are revolutionizing the way student-athletes engage with their fans and monetize their brand through custom merchandise. Athlete’s Thread is currently licensed with over 400 colleges, and work with over 30,000 student athletes. 

As part of our mission, we are building out an innovative athlete resellers dashboard and streamlining processes via our cutting-edge tech and app. We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Product Manager to help us drive these initiatives forward.

Role Overview:

As the Product Manager for Athlete’s Thread, you will play a pivotal role in developing our athlete resellers dashboard, enhancing our technology, and improving overall operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our platform not only meets but exceeds the needs of our athlete resellers.

You will handle the full life cycle of the product starting with concept and design, development, launch, support, and retirement. In this role, you will be working with our Engineering team to deliver products internally and for our clients externally to drive growth, automation, and cost reduction. 

This role is perfect for someone who has a keen interest in technology with over 5 years of Product Management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively.  

As a member of the Product Team, you will be working closely with our Executive and Management teams to build technology that will scale the business to 9 figures in revenue. This is a cross-functional role that requires a strong understanding of business, technical aptitude, and organizational skills in a fast paced environment.

This role is ideal for someone who’s looking to work with a fast paced Product Team and Company. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee a team of developers to ensure timely delivery of product 
• Work alongside the management and executive team to drive business requirements and execution.
• Works closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to gather business requirements, and ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met
• End-to-end project management and ownership of the entire Project Management Lifecycle and its process which covers (requirements analysis, technical integration, testing and post-production support)
• Create Product Requirements Documents for Engineering and Design Teams
• Create Wireframes for Internal teams to align business requirements with Engineering & Design Execution in Balsamiq/Figma
• Create product release notes for Internal and External Stakeholders
• Prioritize product roadmap to align business goals and exceed expectations in JIRA
• Identify and develop the business case for new product opportunities for growth, revenue, and driving costs down 
• Identify new tech opportunities that would increase revenue and drive down costs
• Work closely with the Engineering Team to ensure successful delivery of the product
• Prioritize features, tasks, and bugs in JIRA
• Ensure timely and bug-free product releases 
• Create Test Cases and UAT Testing Criteria to ensure accurate Product Releases 
• Build processes and documentation on how to use the product externally and internally.
• Misc technology requests and handling bugs / building process to handle issues as we grow our product team

• 5+ years of experience with building tech products for internal teams and external clients 
• Prior experience working at a high-growth tech startup or consulting firm is a bonus
• Versatile – Can adapt quickly and is very comfortable with no day looking the same
• Goal-oriented. You’re incredibly ambitious. You’re dedicated to a long-term vision of who you are and where you want to go.
• Strong business acumen – Highly proficient in business plan and product development
• Excellent time management and organizational skills – thrives in fast-moving environments requiring one to multitask and prioritize between multiple different projects and functions
• Committed to operational excellence – known for high-velocity execution and can effectively balance long-term business goals with short-term need
• Ability to create wireframes 
• Strong communication skills and ability to describe complex product requirements to developers
• Problem-solver – You excel at identifying creative solutions to product issues and improving inefficient processes
• An ability to work with engineering, architecture, design, product marketing, GTM sales, and customer support to help launch new products and support existing ones
• Has a strong builder mentality and can approach opportunities with both an experience and platform focused approach. We are looking for someone with a technical bent to communicate with internal engineering teams and the developer customers
