Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality technical studies and environmental documents, including Biological Resource Assessments, biological CEQA/NEPA analyses, and permit application packages.
- Identify optimal permitting pathways for intricate projects and develop requisite technical studies and materials for submission.
- Conduct fieldwork essential for biological documentation, including stream/wetland delineations.
- Lead extensive biological permitting projects, including those under the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and Coastal Act.
- Independently manage medium to large projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Coordinate project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables while serving as the main point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Provide technical guidance to staff and subcontractors and oversee QA/QC reviews of technical reports, budgets, and schedules.
- Engage in proactive client outreach to cultivate strong relationships and secure new business opportunities.
- Write comprehensive proposals and develop cost and schedule estimates for prospective projects.
- Participate in client interviews and deliver impactful presentations to secure project work.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, demonstrating proficiency in technical work and project management.
- Strong expertise in biological resource assessments (CEQA/NEPA), wetland delineations, and regulatory permitting.
- Proven ability to nurture positive relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and subconsultants.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership capabilities, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology (or a related field) from an accredited institution, or a PhD with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- A record of supervising staff, providing effective solutions, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Specialized knowledge in restoration planning, habitat management, and mitigation monitoring.

Compensation And Benefits
The base salary range for this full-time position is (84,000 – )138,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package, including:
