Senior User Interface Engineer (Remote)

POWWR are seeking an experienced Senior UI Engineer to join our engineering team in revolutionizing the global energy marketplace! In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing user interfaces for our SaaS energy marketplace platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver seamless and engaging user experiences. You’ll join a collaborative team and work closely with various teams in the US, Brazil and the UK, including engineering, product, and operations, to support our technology-driven initiatives.

What will you be doing?

• Design and develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces for POWWR’s SaaS product platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring smooth user interactions and fast load times.
• Implement and maintain reusable component libraries and design systems.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and uphold best practices in UI development.
• Stay current with emerging UI/UX trends and technologies, advocating for their adoption when appropriate.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI-related issues across our products.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in UI development, with a strong emphasis on front-end technologies.
• Proven expertise in Angular (Angular 2+), including state management and component-driven architecture.
• Proficiency in SCSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with responsive design principles and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Material Design).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
• Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS and Google Cloud.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Strong collaboration skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
• Experience with reactive state management frameworks like NgRx.
• Knowledge of UX design principles and tools like Figma or Sketch.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cucumber.
• Background in SaaS environments and a good understanding of their unique challenges.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
