Project Manager Ehr Austin Tx (Remote)

We are in search of a seasoned Project Manager to lead and manage an important Electronic Health Record (EHR) project. In this capacity, you will be tasked with the comprehensive planning, budgeting, and management of all project dimensions, ensuring its successful execution and implementation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT departments, and external partners, to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead and oversee the entire lifecycle of the EHR project, encompassing project planning, documentation, and scheduling.
• Create and maintain crucial project documentation, including business case workbooks, project charters, operational plans, and migration strategies.
• Supervise project tasks associated with application and data migration, collaborating with business stakeholders and vendors to adhere to established best practices.
• Act as the primary liaison among business users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless communication and alignment with project requirements.
• Manage and enhance project operations, addressing any emerging challenges while keeping the project on schedule.
• Assist in formulating data conversion and implementation strategies, ensuring smooth integration and data transfer.
• Deliver regular project status updates to stakeholders, leadership, and team members, ensuring transparency regarding progress and potential obstacles.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication to ensure clarity on project goals and objectives.

Required Skills

• Over 10 years of experience in managing multiple projects, specifically focusing on EHR or comparable large-scale applications.
• Demonstrated ability in leading the implementation of intricate applications within expansive organizations, including managing project plans and mitigating risks and issues.
• Strong familiarity with databases like InterSystems Cach Database, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server, alongside experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and Jira.
• Expertise in data migration, application migration, and workflow analysis, combined with a solid understanding of SDLC artifacts and software engineering methodologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with a focus on analyzing complex challenges and devising effective solutions.
• Proven experience in staff management, leading data migration initiatives, and mediating between business stakeholders and vendors.
• Strong communication skills, with the capability to deliver clear and concise status updates and facilitate regular project team discussions.
• Proficient in cultivating and sustaining robust relationships with stakeholders at every level, enhancing collaboration and productivity.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant project management experience is required.
• Proven experience in managing the implementation of complex applications is essential.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• PMP Certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
