What You Will Do

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager, Wholesale is responsible for building, training, strategizing, and leading a remote team of Wholesale Account Executives. Responsible for managing relationships and growing wholesale accounts along with their team and ideally bringing with them a book of business. The position requires identifying specific segments and industry verticals to approach and sell iTel products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of the Canadian telecom landscape, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

  • Manage a current team of Wholesale Account Executives & Wholesale Sales Specialists.
  • Ensure proper documentation of deals, relationships, and accounts from all team members are properly reflected in iTel CRM and other databases.
  • Build the Wholesale Sales team by actively participating in the recruitment process of Account Executives.
  • Develop the team strategy and metrics that will promote account growth and increase the number of wholesale accounts.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, performance management, coaching, and development to the Sales team.
  • Manage the team’s activities, performance, and KPIs according to the developed strategy in order to achieve Wholesale team quotas.
  • Helps the Sales team develop, forecast, manage, close sales, and meet/exceed monthly quotas.
  • Participate in sales calls & presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-departmental teams (including Marketing, Operations, etc) to ensure we offer a quality wholesale customer experience.
  • Regularly identify areas of opportunity to drive process efficiency and work with leadership to implement those changes.
  • Deliver against specific goals for onboarding, and ensure end-customer sales success.
  • Keep current with iTel’s product release information including sales materials, product roadmaps, features, applications and competition. Ensure the team is trained and knowledgeable on iTel Product suite as it relates to the target customers
  • Travel when necessary to events and conferences to represent iTel.
  • Manage, update, and maintain accurate and healthy sales funnels.
  • Prepare and give regular business reviews to the iTel leadership team.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field plus five years’ recent, sales leadership experience. Sales experience in the telecommunications industry is necessary. Wholesale Telecommunications sales experience is an asset. A combination of education, skills, and experience may be considered.
