About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of the Land 400 Phase 3 program at Hanwha Defense Australia. Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for executing the relevant sub project of this high-profile defence project, ensuring that all project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and managing project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure the successful delivery of specific sub-projects and elements of the project, including DIDs, vehicles and support activities 
• Coordinating and leading cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement specialists, and quality assurance personnel, to ensure seamless project execution
• Identifying and mitigating project risks, and implementing effective risk management strategies
• Engage with the customer and other key stakeholders representing the project and team Redback, including management of key subcontractors 
• Conduct regular project review meetings and provide reports on project status
• Providing guidance and support to the project team, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and contractual requirements

What we’re looking for

• Experience in project management, preferably in the defence or engineering / manufacturing industries
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and supply chain
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget
• Familiarity with defence industry regulations, standards, and contractual requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
