Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Owner to join our team in the Medical Technology domain. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the development of innovative medical technology products that address critical healthcare needs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will play a pivotal role in aligning business objectives with technology solutions to deliver exceptional value to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with company goals and market needs in the medical technology sector.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including clinical experts, regulatory teams, marketing, and engineering, to gather requirements and prioritize features.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring alignment on priorities and goals.
Backlog Management:
- Own and maintain the product backlog, writing clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritizing items based on business value and technical feasibility.
- Ensure that backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions are effective and efficient.
Product Development Oversight:
- Collaborate with the development team to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions on time and within budget.
- Make data-driven decisions and trade-offs to balance scope, quality, and schedule.
- Ensure compliance with relevant medical device standards and regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO).
Customer Focus & Feedback:
- Engage with end-users, healthcare professionals, and patients to understand their needs and pain points, ensuring product solutions are effective and user-friendly.
- Analyze customer feedback, market data, and key performance metrics to continuously improve the product.
Leadership & Mentoring:
- Mentor junior product owners and team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Lead cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to achieve high levels of productivity and engagement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare technology is a plus).
- 8+ years of Product Owner/ Business Analyst with relevant industry experience
- Experience of being part of Scrum Teams / Agile processes and tools
- Experience in Medical software, Patient care software development
- Experience in Medical regularity system is a plus
- Knowledge of Digital Product Development and Security
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Ability to work in geographically distributed teams
- Prefer local candidates as Malaysian or Indian
- Working mode: Work from home (If India occasional travel to Bangalore required / If Malaysia occasional travel to Penang required)
- Working hours: mostly US East time zone (9 pm – 6 am MYT / 6:30 pm – 3:30 am IST), need to attend meetings
