Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Construction Project Manager to support our operations and ensure efficient workflow across multiple projects. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and improving overall productivity. You will also manage vendor relationships, handle operational budgets, and contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
- Communicate job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing performance.
- Plan and review compensation actions while enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Contribute operational insights to strategic plans, prepare and complete action plans, and implement production, quality, and customer service standards.
- Forecast project requirements, prepare annual budgets, and analyze variances to take corrective actions.
- Develop and enforce operations systems for product handling, storage, inventory management, equipment utilization, and shipping processes.
- Analyze and improve organizational workflows, employee space needs, and equipment layouts, implementing necessary changes.
- Maintain a safe work environment by establishing and enforcing health and safety standards and complying with legal regulations.
- Stay updated on industry knowledge through educational opportunities and professional networks.
- Meet or exceed labor budget expectations for operations.
- Oversee department managers and supervisors, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Ensure a safe, accident-free workplace by adhering to safety standards.
- Manage vehicle and heavy equipment rentals, ensuring maintenance and compliance.
- Establish and manage contracts, liaising with utilities, fire, police, health, and safety agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, tracking service levels and pricing.
- Review and approve operational invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Serve as the primary contact for resolving customer issues related to operations, including equipment quality and on-site mishaps.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and management team to implement company policies and operational improvements.
- Communicate policies and address operational issues in department meetings.
- Work with the inventory team to optimize equipment use, purchasing, and reduce sub-rental expenses.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA health and safety regulations and other government standards.
Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency to communicate effectively with a global team.
- Five years of more of proven experience in operations coordination in the construction or renovation industry.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and monitor work efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and legal compliance standards.
- Experience in budget management, vendor relations, and contract management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer service and quality improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a project coordination role, preferably within the construction or operations sector.
The offer
- Full time (40 hours a week)
- Hourly rate: $9.00 USD
