Job Title: Medical Scientific Liaison, Austria

Location: Austria, field based

Job Description

As Medical Scientific Liaison for Austria, you will lead scientific engagement for assigned areas (Cx, Rx, Ax) with Medical Experts covering in line and in pre-launch products and new products under development.

You will be responsible to implement clinical and educational strategies and respond to unsolicited medical enquiries and ensure operational excellence and compliance.

You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as Galderma standards.

The role reports to Senior Medical Manager Alpine.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with Medical Experts (MEs), ensuring appropriate identification and mapping of MEs/ Key Accounts
• Develop and execute ME engagement plans to effectively prioritize and strategically engage MEs aligned with country strategy.
• Provides medical expertise in the assigned therapeutical areas (Rx, Ax, Cx) to ensure high quality scientific and medical advice, education, and information to internal and external stakeholders, concerning in line and in pre-launch products and new products under development.
• Supports development and implements the local medical affairs plan for the assigned therapeutical areas especially via insights from the field according to Alpine and global strategy.
• Identifies local needs and possibilities for joint value creation with internal & external healthcare system stakeholders and develops projects to address them
• Reviews and co-develops promotional and non-promotional material
• Provide comprehensive trainings on products and related diseases to internal staff ensuring accurate delivery of messages in line with global plans for study interpretation and objection handling.
• Works proactively as strategic partner with Marketing to ensure market preparation pre- and post-launch (i.e., trainings, lectures at local Congresses, Ad Boards, Symposia, Galderma co/mono-sponsored events and congresses)
• Support Galderma clinical research programs, optimize trial execution and provide scientific educational support to potential and actual study sites in collaboration with clinical operations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Medical Degree or MSc, PhD degree in health sciences
• Proven prior experience in Medical Affairs, Biologics and Launches
• Developed short to long-term operational plans for optimizing the organization or function and executed strategies.
• Dermatology Immunology/ Allergology/Rheumatology therapy areas are desirable.
• Understanding of commercial context, possibly from prior clinical trial and/or medical affairs experience
• Knowledge of the Austrian Healthcare System & Experience in country compliance
• Medical and scientific writing skills
• Excellent communication skills and team competencies
• Demonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels, including senior KOLs/KTLs
• Business partnering, stakeholder management, with Innovative and strategic thinking.
• Fluency in English, and German.
