This individual will oversee all aspects of the café’s daily operations, from customer service to cooking and compliance with health and safety regulations. As a key part of our team, the Café Manager will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, developing daily specials, and offering creative menu options. This position requires a blend of strong leadership, culinary skills, and business acumen. Applicants must have the necessary qualifications and experience to maintain the highest standards of service and food quality. Responsibilities: 1. Operational Management •* Open and close the café daily, ensuring all procedures are followed.* •* Oversee café cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers.* •* Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies and managing deliveries.* •* Manage cash handling, reconcile daily transactions, and ensure accurate record-keeping.* •* Monitor café performance, providing regular reports and insights to improve efficiency.* 2. Cooking and Menu Development •* Prepare and cook high-quality meals and beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.* •* Design daily specials and unique menu items that cater to customer preferences.* •* Develop a schedule of themed or special meals for different days of the week to enhance the customer experience.* •* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen that meets food safety standards.* 3. Customer Service •* Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.* •* Handle customer feedback, inquiries, and complaints in a professional and friendly manner.* •* Build strong relationships with customers, fostering loyalty and repeat business.* 4. Staff Management and Training •* Recruit, train, and supervise café staff, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver excellent service.* •* Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster a positive team environment.* •* Create and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure smooth operations and coverage during peak hours.* 5. Compliance and Safety •* Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.* •* Conduct regular risk assessments and maintain compliance with local food safety guidelines.* •* Train staff on food handling, hygiene practices, and café-specific safety protocols.* •* Stay informed on regulatory changes and make adjustments to policies and procedures as required.* 6. Financial Management •* Oversee the café’s budget, monitoring costs and revenue to achieve financial targets.* •* Implement strategies to optimize profit margins while maintaining quality and service standards.* •* Track and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth.* 7.
