At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.
In this role you will work with a globally dispersed team which requires working outside of normal business hours.
Join our team
Our Transformation team is seeking a Senior Workday Configuration Specialist to help us design, test, and implement configuration changes that align the Workday Financials platform with our constantly evolving business processes.
What you’ll get to do…
- Translate Finance & Accounting business needs into platform solutions
- Effectively join forces with business partners to gather and clarify business requirements, prototype, test, and demo solutions of varying complexity
- Seek to understand company policies, processes, and standards to address partner needs while aligning with Workday standard methodologies effectively
- Act as Technical Lead on complex projects (in-house or out-sourced), chipping in and delegating technical tasks independently
- Identify, prototype, and demo functionalities that fit arising business use cases
- Know the latest on newly released functionalities, champion adoption across partner teams (Workday Releases)
- Adhere to and champion the Transformation teams documented standards of deployment (testing, documentation, peer review). Establish new and refine existing policies, procedures, and documentation standards to optimize request intake. Partner with other development teams and businesses to outline operating procedures for complex processes/requests
- Mentor junior team members and host cross-training sessions
- Peer review team members’ configuration design and deployment, and improve system configuration and quality standards on the team
- Lead and participate in scrum ceremonies with business as well as internal development teams
- Provide support and training to system end users
Your experience should include…
- 4+ years of experience with Workday Financials configuration
- Knowledge of Workday’s business process framework and finance functional configuration (business process configuration, security framework, condition rules, calculated fields, reporting)
- Experience around the standardization of the following functions: Financial Accounting/FDM, Banking & Settlement, Expenses, and Customer Accounts
- Experience leading and/or deploying complex Workday system improvements

- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Workday Implementation
- Experience supporting multi-national companies
- Experience involving mergers and acquisitions
- Experience with public company compliance/Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX)
- Functional expertise in Accounting, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, etc.)
