Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are looking for a highly organised and resourceful Production Supervisor to join our Media Productions team. Acting as the first point of contact for clients, you’ll be pivotal in managing our diverse portfolio of creative projects. From assessing incoming commissions and managing schedules to coordinating resources and budgets, you’ll ensure the seamless execution of every project.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small, collaborative team that produces a wide variety of meaningful and creative content for the University of Auckland and external partners. No two days will be the same, and your ability to multi-task, communicate clearly, and manage competing priorities will help drive our team’s success.

You’re a natural multi-tasker with strong experience in video production coordination and a knack for problem-solving. Your ability to estimate project timelines and resources, manage client expectations, and coordinate schedules will make you an invaluable member of our team.

We are a close-knit team of eleven highly experienced creatives producing customised video, motion graphics, and stills for the University of Auckland’s faculties, operations teams, and external clients. Our work includes teaching and learning resources, docu-style profiles, international marketing campaigns, event coverage, and more.

Ngā Pūkenga Motuhake | Important skills
Project Management: Skilled in managing schedules, budgets, and resources for multiple projects.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with clients who may have little production experience.
Organisation: Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with video production workflows, scheduling software, and financial reconciliation processes.
Collaboration: A team player with a proactive mindset, adept at navigating client relationships and supporting team members.
Preferred skills:
- Familiarity with production scheduling software such as Farmers Wife and Microsoft Teams Planner.
- Experience in video production or post-production environments.
- A passion for storytelling and a commitment to continuous improvement.
