The Accounts Payable Team Lead is responsible for leading by example with expanded responsibilities to mentor and guide a team of specialists. The Team Lead will follow CHS processing guidelines while maintaining audit requirements. The Team Lead collaborates with other Supply Chain functional areas, Contract Management, and Vendor Data Management teams to resolve payment issues as needed.

Requirements
- Three (3) years Accounts Payable, preferably in high volume environment.
- Proficient understanding of using computer based programs.
- Education: High school diploma
Preferred
- Experience: SBO/Multi-unit AP environment Experience, Imaging and / or OCR technology experience, Concur Travel and Entertainment experience, Healthcare industry experience
- Experience utilizing Oracle (strongly preferred)
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
About The Opportunity
- Manages an assigned electronic work queue of items for processing. The Team Lead consistently displays both processing speed and accuracy levels that exceed standard requirements established for the department.
- Possesses an understanding of the invoice processing fundamentals, as well as the ability to process complex transactions, acting as a Subject Matter Expert for the processing area. Complex transactions include, but are not limited to, resolving invoice processing errors or researching and auditing transactions for accuracy.
- Determines when an invoice has issues preventing processing for payment and effectively collaborates with internal customers and Shared Services teams for resolution.
- Supervises and mentors a smaller team (3-8 individuals) that are each responsible for assigned electronic work queues of payable invoices and special handling items.
- Displays clear, concise communication and exceeds the need when providing customer service as needed to vendors, operating facilities, corporate, auditors, and team mates. All internal and external customers must perceive the Team Lead as an approachable and knowledgeable “go to” resource.
- Capable of providing department support by aiding the supervisor with new hires during the onboarding process and being a trusted knowledge source to positively mentor coworkers within the department.
- Adheres to all established processing guidelines and positively promotes and accepts changes to those processes.
