Role

As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with the Archetype AI team and external customers to develop, refine, and deliver modern AI algorithms for real-time sensing. Ideal candidates are focused on customer success, able to drive projects independently and deliver solutions for one customer while advancing core technology that benefits all customers. You thrive in ambiguity and a fast changing environment, and are excited to work on advanced algorithms and not afraid to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Fine tune and deliver modern AI solutions that exceed customer requirements
• Evaluate algorithm performance and drive forward algorithm improvements
• Work closely with researchers and product managers to develop, fine-tune, and deliver modern AI algorithms

Minimum Requirements

• Experience developing algorithms in either academia, startups or industry (e.g. ideally can be demonstrated by publication in relevant conferences, experience of working on AI-based products, etc.).
• Research skills, such as being able to rapidly prototype ideas given ambiguous requirements and get to proof of existence quickly,  being able to perform deep analysis of results, have  broad understanding of state-of-the-art techniques, and can clearly communicate results.
• Strong general software skills, can develop clean, modular code quickly.
• Can write ML algorithms in python, pytorch and others. Practical  knowledge of supporting tools.
• Comfortable learning new tools across the stack when needed, from lower-level languages for algorithm development to dashboards and frontend demos
• Experience working with cloud technology stack (eg. AWS or GCP) and developing machine learning models in a cloud environment.

We Would Love to See 

• Experience developing real-time algorithms for various sensors (e.g. cameras, microphones, depth sensors, radar, inertial sensors, …)
• Knowledge of modern machine learning techniques (e.g. multimodal large language models, deep learning, encoders, embeddings, advanced loss functions, …)
• Knowledge of modern data processing workflows for large datasets (e.g. ray)
• Ability to work effectively in an asynchronous remote team environment
