Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with 7+ years of expertise to lead and optimise our DevOps processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and improving the infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. This role involves designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline development and deployment processes. As a key player in the engineering team, the Senior DevOps Engineer will drive innovation and maintain a high-performing infrastructure in a fast-paced startup environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless and automated deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Monitor and optimise system performance, reliability, and scalability, implementing proactive solutions to potential bottlenecks or failures.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
• Implement robust logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to maintain system health and address incidents promptly.
• Enhance system security by applying best practices for infrastructure hardening, access controls, and vulnerability management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and procedures to support operational excellence.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
• Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure management, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Deep understanding of containerisation and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
• Experience in monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and practices, including vulnerability assessments and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.

Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar are a bonus.
