Fix Api Trading Engineer Wfh (Remote)

We are in search of a highly skilled FIX & Trading API Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team in a fully remote, full-time capacity. In this pivotal role within our development team, you will be instrumental in enhancing and optimizing our trading platforms. Your specialization in FIX trading APIs, message queue systems, and high-performance computing will be critical in advancing our trading efficiency and contributing to our leadership in financial technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the integration and management of FIX APIs as well as proprietary trading APIs, encompassing certification and continuous development.
• Collaborate with message queue/bus systems (such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, and Redis Streams) to ensure high throughput and minimal latency.
• Work alongside the trading team to transform complex requirements into dependable and scalable technical solutions.
• Execute comprehensive testing and quality assurance to uphold system integrity, ensuring robust performance during peak trading periods.
• Proactively identify and rectify system performance challenges to boost overall trading efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the development of FIX-based trading systems, including the creation and management of FIX APIs.
• Proficiency in contemporary programming languages (such as Rust, Typescript, C++, C#), emphasizing efficiency and sound design patterns.
• In-depth knowledge of message queue and message bus technologies, including Kafka, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, and Redis Streams.
• Strong analytical capabilities, enabling success in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with financial markets, trading strategies, and quantitative analysis.
• Understanding of high-frequency trading (HFT) environments.

• Competitive salary range of (180,000 – )250,000 (Base) based on experience.
