Job Brief:

The Sr. Android Engineer role is part of our Software Development team and is responsible for enhancing and maintaining products for our clients. The role will be responsible for developing mobile solutions utilizing the latest technologies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Qualified individuals will design, program, document, debug, test, deploy, support, and sustain mobile applications. Candidates should have demonstrable experience in developing applications with a variety of technology stacks to create native mobile applications that are hosted on the Android App Store. Ideal candidates will have experience working in healthcare and medical device integrations.

What You Will Do;

Write clean, concise, readable, and testable code (Kotlin)
Amplify mobile development velocity by improving mobile architecture, optimizing development practices, and leaning into automation.
Maintain, design, and implement new features and interfaces for mobile applications
Writes/performs unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
Performs troubleshooting to debug and optimize code performance
Liaise with product development team to plan new products and features
Ensures new and legacy applications meet quality standards
Manages work effort via agile methodology and participates in SCRUM meetings
Maintains code via software development version control platform working with a team of other developers.
Stay up-to-date with new technology trends

We Should Talk If You Have:

8+ years of experience in Mobile Application development specifically with Android (Kotlin)
Have published and maintained apps on the Google Play Store
Solid understanding of Android fundamentals including component lifecycles, dependency injection, multi-threading, persistence, and usage of Jetpack components (Compose, Navigation, ViewModel, etc)
Strong mobile UI design skills and demonstrable proficiency in standard Android design principles
Experience integrating with 3rd Party Web Services/APIs
Experience with automated testing and debugging Mobile Applications
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented development
Desire to learn new technologies and evolve skill set
Experience maintaining code via software development version control platforms (GitHub, BitBucket,etc)
Experience managing tasks/work effort via agile (Jira experience a plus)

Bonus Points If You Have:

Prior agency experience, working with multiple clients
Experience working in health tech or related fields, particularly medical device integration
Experience with Dart and Flutter development
