Title: Senior QA Functional Engineer

Duration: C2H (3-4 months of contract then to be hired as an FTE)

Job Description

• Extracts business requirements from relevant sources: documentation, meetings, emails, among others; and to ensure the project documents are updated accordingly

• Creates and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts, both manual and automated, and to revise as needed to reflect changing requirements

• Reviews deliverables prepared by test team

• Follows our project methodology and rigorously enforce project quality standards

• Prepares reports, reviews, and quality assurance procedures as needed

• Minimizes exposure and risk on project(s)

• Ensures project documents are complete, current, reviewed by the appropriate parties, and archived correctly and quickly

Mandatory:

• Required technical proficiencies/knowledge – Familiar with using QA tools, writing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, a good understanding of QA methodologies.

• Familiar with web testing technologies, PC hardware platforms, and MS Operating Systems.

• Related experience with client/server databases and reporting tools.

• Enhanced knowledge of SQL, database structure, and database design; experience with REST API testing; thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and change management; expert with all aspects of Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products.

• (InfoPath, Word, Excel, Access, Project, XML, MS SQL Server, SharePoint, VSS, Microsoft Windows)

• Working knowledge of various EDI formats including X12 formats (837, 999, 277); ability to understand and assist with the conversion of business requirements into technical specifications and cross-reference them to test scenarios and test cases; enhanced knowledge of software quality assurance methodology and practice.

• A good understanding of systems and applications with the ability and desire to learn.

• Improves process and quality via test and process automation: defining right strategy and technology based on process and architecture assessment by engaging different roles and stakeholders

• Deep practical experience with cutting edge tools for Web, Mobile, Desktop, DB and Web-service testing (such as Selenium, Jenkins, and Zap Roxy)

• Working knowledge of SQL to validate test cases within a SQL database

• Experience with testing REST APIs with tools such as Postman

• Understanding of and experience with EDI formats such as X12 (837, 999, 277), flat files, delimited files, XML, and JSON

• Understands business requirements from documentation, business meetings, emails, and other sources.

• Effectively applies our project methodology and enforces project standards

• Ensures assigned project documents are accurate, complete, current, and stored appropriately

• Must be experienced working on Internet-, Intranet-, and Extranet-based systems, and client/server architectures

• Must keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and their potential application in existing business processes and systems
