Position Overview
HCL is seeking a dynamic, bilingual professional with over 5 years of experience in sales, legal, and financial sectors to join our team as a Deal Desk Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and negotiating complex, multi-year deals, managing large accounts, and ensuring compliance settlements. As a key leader in HCL’s most strategic sales engagements, you’ll work at the intersection of business, finance, legal, and technical domains, navigating diverse challenges to drive successful deal closures.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Management: Oversee large, complex sales engagements from inception through closure.
- Strategic Sales: Develop and implement innovative sales strategies, leveraging commercial acumen to create complex, tailored pricing structures.
- Financial & Pricing Constructs: Lead the preparation of financial models and pricing cases that align with client goals and HCL’s strategic objectives.
- Client Collaboration: Partner with HCL Client Directors to define engagement plans and manage deliverables.
- Value Proposition: Present HCL’s Licensing Offers, leading a multidisciplinary team to develop compelling value propositions.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Foster strong partnerships with client stakeholders, while navigating HCL’s internal processes to mitigate delivery or quality risks.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure alignment with client business strategies, goals, and drivers throughout engagements.
- Deliverables: Develop key documents, including proposals, Statements of Work (SoWs), contracts, and presentations.
- Negotiation Leadership: Lead client negotiations, coordinating all personnel involved to drive successful outcomes.
- Sales Coaching: Serve as a sales coach across markets, enhancing strategic sales skills within teams.

- Proven Deal Expertise: Demonstrated success in closing large, transformative deals.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Exceptional leadership and influencing abilities, capable of working effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Project & Program Management: Strong background in project/program management, adept at delivering results in complex environments.
- Technical & Industry Knowledge: Expertise in HCL’s software offerings, technology trends, and their business implications.
- Advanced Communication: Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with advanced MS Excel proficiency.
- Executive Relationship Management: Experience managing relationships with C-level executives and board members.
- Complex Deal Negotiation: Skilled in structuring and negotiating intricate deals with creative approaches.
- Resilience & Adaptability: Ability to excel in challenging environments with a focus on achieving measurable results.
- Cultural Acumen: Proven experience managing large deals across Europe, with sensitivity to cultural nuances.
- Mentorship & Training: Ability to train and mentor team members on quoting processes and internal protocols.
