🎩 Role overview
The influencer discovery & management lead will oversee a team of members (juniors & mid-levels) responsible for identifying, engaging, negotiating, and onboarding content creators (influencers & UGC creators).
This role will focus on building a scalable, process-driven department while coaching and developing team members to achieve better results. The lead will ensure the team delivers high-quality creator content that aligns with campaign objectives.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Development
- Effectively manage a large team by setting up systems that allow maintaining granular visibility on tasks and ensuring no details are overlooked.
- Coach a team to ensure consistent creator content quality.
- Build, implement & maintain structured training documentation for new and existing team members.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture through regular feedback, 1:1s, and team meetings.
2. Process Optimization
- Design and implement streamlined workflows for creator discovery, outreach, negotiation, and onboarding.
- Identify inefficiencies and develop solutions to improve productivity and quality.
- Leverage tools & marketplaces to optimize team operations.
3. Creator Management Oversight
- Guide the team to ensure influencers meet campaign requirements.
- Support negotiations with high-value or complex influencers when needed.
- Maintain a feedback loop to improve influencer onboarding & communications.
4. Performance Management & Reporting
- Set clear KPIs and track individual and team performance against goals.
- Provide actionable reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting team contributions to campaign ROI.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards for all creator-related activities.
5. Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., creative, project management, and paid media) to align creator strategies with campaign goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and process improvements within the influencer department.
🎯 Outcomes for the Role:
To be successful, the Lead, Influencer Discovery & Management must achieve the following outcomes within the first 12 months:
Team Development:
- Improve team productivity.
- Create & maintain training documentation that reduces onboarding time for new hires.
Process Efficiency:
- Implement workflows that reduce the time from influencer discovery to onboarding.
- Decrease dropoff rates from discovered to onboarding.
Discovered Influencer Quality:
- Ensure 90% of influencers meet brand criteria and campaign objectives.
Cost Reduction:
- Continuously find ways to reduce costs.
Performance Reporting:
- Deliver timely reports with actionable insights that demonstrate the department’s overall performance.

- Leadership & Coaching: Proven ability to develop and inspire teams, with a strong focus on mentoring junior talent.
- Process-Driven Mindset: Expertise in designing and optimizing workflows for efficiency and scalability.
- Influencer Marketing Expertise: Hands-on experience with influencer discovery, outreach, negotiation, and management.
- Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional communication skills to liaise across teams and present results to stakeholders.
- Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills to monitor performance metrics and improve team operations.
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years in influencer marketing, talent casting, or a similar role with team management responsibilities.
- Experience in scaling teams and optimizing operational processes.
- Familiarity with paid media campaigns and their integration with influencer marketing.
