What’s the opportunity?
This role will:
- Deliver large scale strategic change projects for the DOH of Health program of work.
- Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
- Demonstrate excellence in execution and customer service.
About the role:
Program Management
- Program Planning: responsible for developing a comprehensive program plan that outlines the objectives, scope, deliverables, timeline, and resource requirements of large-scale program/projects.
- Program Execution and Monitoring: Lead the day-to-day execution of the program. Coordinate activities across multiple projects, monitor progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to program timelines and quality standards. Establish monitoring mechanisms to assess program performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the program. Develop risk management strategies, establish contingency plans, and regularly monitor risks to ensure timely resolution and minimise the impact on program objectives.
- Budget and Resource Management: accountable for managing the budget, including financial planning, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Change Management: Responsible for change management component to anticipate and address resistance to change. Oversee the development of change management plans and ensure smooth transitions by engaging stakeholders and facilitating effective communication and training.
Stakeholder Management
- Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with senior stakeholders across business units and enterprise functions within Telstra Health.
- Ensure Telstra Health compliance to Governance standards and governance forums established for current and future customers.
People Leader Management
- Team development: Mentor and guide team members in their professional growth and career development. Provide regular feedback and coaching to help team members improve their skills and performance.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience is required.
- Project Management certification (PRINCE2/PMBOK) desired
Essential:
- 10 + years’ experience as a Senior Project/Program manager with demonstrated track record of successful delivery of large-scale projects.
- 10 + years’ experience engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of project delivery methodologies and experience managing project portfolios consisting of all types of projects.
- Demonstrated ability for independent decision making and managing highly visible large-scale projects or portfolios.
