Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Program Manager with 16 to 20 years of experience in managing complex programs within the pharmaceutical clinical process domain. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in resource management governance and communication budget/cost/profit management and program execution. This role requires proficiency in Agile methodologies and a hybrid work model with occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Clinical IT Projects: Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of clinical IT projects, ensuring they meet organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, IT teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless integration and compliance.
Manage Budgets and Resources: Develop and oversee project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure projects stay within financial constraints.
Ensure Data Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain data security measures to protect patient information and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Monitor Project Progress: Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines, providing regular updates to senior management.
Facilitate Training and Support: Organize training sessions for clinical staff on new IT systems and provide ongoing support to ensure effective use.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in clinical IT projects and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project outcomes and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree / master’s degree in engineering or science . An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is often preferred.
Project Management Certification: Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is highly desirable.
Clinical IT Experience: 16-20 years of Proven experience in clinical program management, healthcare IT, or related fields, with a strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare regulations.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic data capture (EDC) systems, clinical trial management systems (CTMS), and other healthcare IT solutions.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary teams.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and compliance requirements, such as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $100,000– $ 181,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
