Logistics Supervisor (Remote)

Job description / Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the shipping industry. Located in the vibrant city of Dubai, UAE, this role will involve overseeing and coordinating the logistics operations to ensure that our shipping processes run efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the supply chain, optimizing logistics processes, and leading a team of logistics professionals to meet the company’s operational goals. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to contribute to the success of our organization in a key supervisory role.

Responsibilities:
– Supervise daily logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.
– Coordinate with various departments including sales, procurement, warehousing, and transportation to streamline operations and issue PO.
– Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock management.
– Develop and oversee the execution of logistics plans, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
– Communicate with shipping line to secure the best freight
– Communicate and follow-up with supplier, production, QC and labeling
– Communicate with Customs and ensure smooth operations
– Lead and mentor a team of logistics staff, providing training and support to enhance their performance.
– Analyze logistics data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate changes.
– Manage relationships with external vendors, shipping lines, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
– Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to logistics activities, including shipping manifests and customs paperwork.
– Track shipment till completion
– Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
– Prepare reports on logistics performance and present findings to senior management for strategic decision-making.

– Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in the trading industry.
– Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
– In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, shipping regulations, and customs procedures.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
– Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations and demands.
– Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
