Senior Fleet Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, disposal of fleet vehicles and making recommendations to management regarding more effective processes. Fleet manager also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations. The role will require close collaboration and partnership with various business units to ensure business needs and goals are met while all risks and potential disruptions are properly mitigated. Fleet manager will be responsible for managing supplier relationship, business relationships and operations in EMEA (22 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa).
Location: Preferrably in Poland but considering for other countries.
Responsibilities
- Implements a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the supply base including leading periodic reviews, monitoring, and managing supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, technology, service, and leadership), managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolution, as well as developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans.
- Implements spend management strategies including supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiation for best total cost of ownership, cycle time improvements, security of supply, supplier diversity, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Monitoring fleet costs and ensuring that they remain within budget
- Conducts regular reviews with company internal stakeholders to understand structure of business and the supplier needs to fulfil the company Services objectives.
- Implements Global Vehicle Policy and Standard Operation procedures (from vehicle assignment to replacement cycling, from personal use to accident reporting..).
- Manages Total Cost of Ownership which will include price, spec, purchase or lease vehicles, fuel management and vehicle insurance.
- Leads negotiation and completion of contracts with strategic and preferred suppliers to maximize benefits across the company, including pricing discussions, managing the timely and accurate drafting of detailed Statements of Work and implementing appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with suppliers.
- Partners with category lead, procurement operations and Vehicle Management Office to execute category strategy/plan to maximum value
- Stays current on automotive industry news, changes, legislation and technologies
- Monitors and drive improvements in supplier performance metrics. Manage supplier relationships, including driving improvements in supplier performance and helping to resolve issues regarding service quality, delivery performance and cost.
Qualifications
- Business English (written and spoken), +German/French/Spanish language as an advantage
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing international fleet or experience with fleet management company (1000+ vehicles) in EMEA
- Min. Bachelor’s Degree – Finance and Management
- Strong financial acumen (understanding of Total Cost of Ownership, market rates, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of European legislation with focus on automotive industry (Green Deal, Taxes, Health and Safety and Data protection)
- Strong computer proficiency with skill in data analysis and results interpretation
- Strong organization and project management skills to keep multiple high priority projects moving to completion.
- Experience working in a global environment; conducting business across multiple requirments, time zones and culture
