Project Consultant (Remote)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Management Consultant with extensive expertise in sports betting system development. The consultant will collaborate closely with Sans Tech Project Managers to provide strategic guidance, oversee critical aspects of the project, and ensure alignment with industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and technical requirements. Focused on addressing the unique challenges and opportunities within the sports betting industry, the consultant will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring the project’s success from inception to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Advisory:

• Provide expert advice on planning, structuring, and executing the sports betting system development.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables based on industry standards.

Strategic Guidance:

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of project goals and current progress.
• Recommend best practices for managing critical components, including:
• Event Management Module
• Risk Management Module
• Payment Gateways
• Sportsbook API integrations
• Provider integrations
• Develop a roadmap to address technical, operational, and compliance challenges.
• Outline deliverables, milestones, and key success metrics.

Stakeholder Support:

• Guide stakeholders on task prioritization and managing cross-functional teams effectively.
• Facilitate clear and efficient communication among developers, external vendors, and business units.

Compliance Expertise:

• Ensure the project adheres to relevant gambling regulations and industry standards.
• Provide insights into licensing requirements and operational certifications for sports betting platforms.
• Guarantee compliance with security and data privacy standards.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies specific to sports betting projects.
• Offer solutions for handling high-traffic systems and secure financial transactions.
• Mitigate risks related to:
• Fraud prevention
• Data security and privacy
• System uptime and reliability during peak usage

Process Optimization:

• Introduce efficient workflows and Agile or hybrid methodologies tailored to dynamic sports betting environments.
• Support resource allocation and budget optimization throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Expertise:

• Provide technical guidance for integrating:
• Live data feeds for real-time event updates and odds.
• Secure payment systems and wallet functionalities.
• Multi-platform compatibility for web and mobile applications.
• Recommend cutting-edge tools and technologies to enhance the system’s capabilities.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Establish frameworks for tracking project progress and ensuring milestones are met on schedule and within budget.
• Deliver periodic updates and actionable recommendations to stakeholders to guarantee project success.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

• 10+ years in project management, with 5+ years specializing in sports betting or online gambling projects.
• Proven track record of consulting or managing large-scale sports betting platforms.

Industry Expertise:

• In-depth understanding of sports betting operations, trends, and technological advancements.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in key markets.

Technical Knowledge:

• Expertise in systems architecture and integrations relevant to sports betting systems.
• Proficiency in payment processing, sportsbook APIs, and risk management tools.

Certifications (Preferred):

• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
