Job Description:
We are seeking applications for an experienced Facilities professional to fill the role of Facilities Lead. You will head up our small Facilities Team and be a hands-on in delivering high quality facilities management services to AKG’s employees and clients throughout Australia, whilst maintaining tight deadlines and budgets.
The duties of our Facilities Lead may include:
- Leading a small team, whilst being hands on.
- Managing and maintaining preventative, planned and reactive maintenance whilst ensuring compliance of service.
- Coordination of reactive repairs and maintenance including allocation of works, tracking progress, and providing updates to relevant stakeholders
- Manage service history and asset data records
- Ensuring compliance of vendor certification
- General facilities services including procurement of assets, provision of office services and facilities, and providing specialist facilities guidance.
- Coordination of site relocations.
- Working to tight deadlines and maintaining budgetary constraints
- Site inspections (some travel may be required)
- Coordinating office fit-out and make-good works
- Working closely with our WHS team to ensure compliance in all areas
- Procurement and coordination of room hires across Australia
- Ensuring compliance with terms of commercial leases
- Forecasting of planned expenses and associated administrative tasks
- Validation and processing of invoices, and maintaining records
- Assisting with leasing of commercial premises
Hybrid Role: Minimum 3 Days in Springvale Office
Qualifications and Skills required:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Facilities Management
- A practical, common-sense approach
- Strong communication with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Adept in the use of MS Suite & strong IT skills
- Great customer service delivery
- Ability to work in a team and lead others
- Organised, proactive and motivated
- Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability, and professionalism in all areas

To be considered you must…
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
- Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
- Ability to work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm onsite at our Geelong campus
