We are seeking a motivated, high energy, individual to be a Account Executive for our Respiratory Division.

This is a field-based sales position, calling on physician offices and other medical facilities.

To help ensure you’re success, we have an comprehensive onboarding and training program that includes field based-ride alongs with reps and managers, distance learning, classroom training, as well as ongoing support and training.

Account Executive:

Sells, markets & delivers respiratory equipment and/or supplies to physicians, therapists, hospitals, clinics, patients and various other current & potential referral sources during the course of a usual work day and after-hours as needed. Establishes and maintains various Nebulizer consignment programs at various locations. Solicits and maintains contracts by performing the following duties:

Job Duties:

  • Routinely markets & sells PHM products & services. Communicates the benefits and features to current and potential referral sources through direct and indirect forms of communication & activity to specifically solicit reimbursable orders. Samples, catalogs & brochures are used as appropriate to educate, train and enhance sales activities.
  • Presents PHM and self in a professional and ethical manner to enhance trust and professional organizational image within the medical & community at large.
  • Delivers, sets-up & instructions patients and caregivers on home stationary and portable oxygen and/or nebulizers as ordered by their physician in a timely and effective manner following all company policies, procedures & regulatory guidelines. Works on-call after hours as needed during a scheduled period of time.
  • Establishes, manages & follows up with nebulizer consignment programs in an effective manner.
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge on all respiratory and other equipment provided by PHM Spokane, equipment troubleshooting, equipment options, insurance coverage guidelines, contract provisions, and PHM process. Acts as a “resource” for customers, referral sources and the local community providing updated & standard information as requested and through periodic in-service education.
  • Effectively follows up & communicates with customers and referral sources as needed and requested to assure quality service and resolution of any concerns identified or perceived.
  • Develops a quarterly sales & marketing plan outlining goals, objectives and strategy to achieve such. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from leads, business and professional directories, and other sources.
  • Effectively plans & documents daily activities on “Weekly Sales Activity Report”. Keeps expense accounts accurately and submits them for reimbursement monthly. Turns in Weekly Sales Active Report & any other assigned reports per company policy.
  • Establishes & maintains the referral source profile; compiles data on equipment and supplies preferred by customers.

Competency, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Business ethics and integrity.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; and/or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 plus years’ documented success achieving sales goals in a relationship selling based field, in healthcare industry a plus.
  • 3 plus years’ experience utilizing consultative, and solution based selling approaches preferred.
  • Experience & knowledge in the field of home medical equipment and respiratory services is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment with outside medical professionals, internal customer care teams, clinical teams, operations staff, sales leaders, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of insurance guidelines to qualify physician’s orders.?
  • Current market and industry knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PowerPoint as well as electronic prescribing platform.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory.

  • Candidate must reside in assigned geographical territory.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Service orientation and experience selling services strongly preferred
  • Experience in DME or Respiratory is a plus
  • Occasional overnight travel
