Essential Job Functions
- Provide operational support for Azure-based cloud platforms, including implementing enhancements, applying security updates, and performing maintenance activities.
- Administer Azure cloud data services, including Azure Storage Gen2, Databricks, and compute environments.
- Secure data against unauthorized access through role-based access control (RBAC), service principals, and Active Directory.
- Deploy and configure virtual networks, subnets, and virtual machines (VMs) in Azure environments.
- Establish and maintain robust monitoring and logging solutions for Azure platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Script and automate infrastructure tasks using tools such as PowerShell, JSON, and Terraform.
- Perform server software installation, configuration, and support on both Linux and Windows virtual machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance analytics capabilities and support new projects.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for Azure cloud infrastructure, scalability, and security.
- Build and support analytics platforms and data pipelines using Azure cloud technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
- US Citizens only
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in technical roles such as developer, systems analyst, or solution architect.
- Proven experience in administering Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Hands-on expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with serverless, containerized, and pay-per-use cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data engineering, and data analytics.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, JSON, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and machine learning operations (MLOps).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Experience in supporting or building analytics capabilities in cloud environments.
- Expertise in advanced analytics, reporting, and dashboarding with Azure technologies.
- Experience with consulting engagements or customer-facing roles.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced understanding of Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
- Strong technical expertise in cloud-based monitoring, logging, and security solutions.
- Ability to design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient cloud architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
