Waitress (Remote)

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Waitress to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using a POS system for managing orders and transactions, skilled in preparing delivery orders accurately, and capable of managing in-house dining services. You will ensure a seamless service experience for guests, from table setup to attending to their needs, all while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. The ideal candidate should be able to multitask effectively, especially during peak hours.

Duties & Responsibility
• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system for processing.
• Prepare and verify delivery orders to ensure accuracy and timely dispatch.
• Manage in-house dining services, including table setup, serving food and beverages, and ensuring all customer needs are met.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding the menu, specials, and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, ensuring tables are set up properly before and after each service.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly to tables, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a calm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure the smooth flow of service and timely delivery of orders.
• Assist in the training of new staff and support team members as needed.
• Ensure proper cash handling, including processing payments and giving correct change.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.

Qualification & Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Waitress in a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Proficiency in using POS systems for managing orders and processing transactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple tables during busy periods.
• Friendly, approachable, and well-presented with a positive attitude.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menu items, including delivery options.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in managing delivery orders and customer requests.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to carry trays and lift items (up to 25 kg) as necessary.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during peak hours.
