Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Project Division (CPD) Manager, focusing on the growing markets in the USA and Canada. This remote position offers flexibility while requiring occasional travel for training events and meetings at our headquarters in Batavia, Illinois. You will work closely with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and will be expected to travel up to 30%, including overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance the Commercial Project Division (CPD) by collaborating with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Regional Sales Managers, and Technical Sales Support Managers.
- Formulate effective sales strategies and architectural plans to stimulate growth within the CPD market.
- Cultivate relationships with architects, designers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to promote our products and influence project specifications.
- Develop and implement educational programs for architects and contractors to foster long-term partnerships and ensure consistent use of our products.
- Act as the primary liaison for architects, specifiers, designers, and engineers on projects across the US and Canada.
- Maintain and revise regional and national specifications with the support of field sales representatives.
- Provide educational sessions, conduct specification reviews, and offer technical support for ongoing projects.
- Engage with local architectural organizations and maintain a thorough call log to record customer interactions.
- Demonstrate expertise in waterproofing and tile backer board products and applications.
- Secure product specifications for construction projects through effective meetings, presentations, and Continuing Education events (CEUs).
- Maintain and update the Master Specification Booklet and Technical Data Sheets, along with other project administration tools.
- Evaluate product types and quantities needed for project scopes to prepare precise price quotes.
- Support our distributor network and their architectural sales teams through product and sales training.
- Represent our company at regional and national architectural and industry-related trade shows, collaborating with the marketing team to create impactful promotional materials.
Required Skills
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in outside or architectural sales.
- Proven supervisory and leadership capabilities.
- Strong financial, change, and conflict management skills.
- Familiarity with architectural specifications and construction design elements is essential.
- Experience with building products or flooring installation is crucial.
- A high level of energy and enthusiasm, coupled with a customer-centric, professional demeanor.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, listening, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver presentations effectively to large groups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, Outlook, and general internet usage.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a four-year college degree is required.
