Responsibilities
- Prepare the scoping, budgets, and execution of environmental investigations, environmental management programs and plans including research, guidance on field programs, and technical report writing and review
- Provide mentorship and support for our Site investigation team members
- Engage with clients, subcontractors and third-party stakeholders, providing clear communications on complex issues to move projects forward
- Work alongside our internal business unit to create innovative solutions to support achieving our client’s business objectives
- Maintain systems for recording and tracking all project documentation using project management software to ensure organized and accessible records
- Monitor and review project budgets and expenses to ensure optimal project performance
- Ensure staff meet, maintain, or exceed health and safety requirements, and foster an environment that prioritizes safety in the workplace.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a science field related to the environment, including Environmental Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Biology, etc.
- A Professional designation, or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months as a P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Chem, P.Ag or R.P.Bio. is required.
- A minimum of five years of experience in Contaminated Sites, including at least two years in a project coordination or management role.
- Working knowledge of the BC Environmental Management Act and Contaminated Sites Regulations, as well as the supporting protocols and technical guidance documents.
