Senior Manager Safety Programs And System (Remote)

About the role

The Senior Manager HSE Programs and Systems is responsible for developing and driving the information & reporting program across Team Global Express and will lead initiatives to enhance safety performance, mitigate risks and foster continuous improvement in HSE practices.

This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standards while promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across all operations.

Some of the key components of the role will include:

• Ensure the maintenance of HSE management systems in accordance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

• Manage the system administration function for existing Health and Safety, Environment, Workers Compensation and Sub-Contractor Management IT systems.

• Manage HSE reporting programs including consolidation of data and analytical commentary for board and executive-level reports.

• Provide technical expertise, advice and support as required to the organisation, in relation to health and safety, Workers Compensation, Environmental and Sub-Contractor Management data reporting practices.

• Ensure appropriate compilation, analysis, and reporting of various incident statistics and performance metrics.

• Provide custom reports and analytics to key stakeholders within the organisation.

• Ensure appropriate reports and data are provided to external stakeholders where appropriate.

• Identify and implement efficiencies within HSE systems, including managing document control, legal and other compliance requirements.

• Identify opportunities for the continuous improvement of HSE systems, including the resolution of any ongoing or systemic issues.

What You’ll Bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety and Environment discipline or similar, Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a senior HSE programs and systems role

• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards

• Formal HSE management system qualifications recognised by a national body will be highly regarded

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels

• Experience in a Transport, Logistics / Warehousing or related heavy industry, highly desirable

• Experience overseeing HSE management systems

• Familiarity with environmental management practices and sustainability initiatives
