    About the Role

    Gaining excellent exposure to the operations of our business and external stakeholders, we have a rewarding role for an experienced Project Manager – Sustainable Feedbase Resources to join our Research and Development team. Design and manage research, development and adoption projects to improve productivity and sustainability of pastures and soil across Australia’s grazing landscapes.
     

    Our ideal Project Manager – Sustainable Feedbase Resources has: 

    • Post-graduate training and 5-10 years’ experience in agricultural science, agronomy, natural resource management or related disciplines.
    • The ability to connect with a wide range of stakeholders including red meat producers, their advisors and scientists.
    • Ability to work effectively in teams, provide leadership to both team members and stakeholders and deal effectively with conflict.
    • Knowledge of Australian red meat production systems, an affinity with rural Australia and a desire to improve productivity and sustainability of Australian grazing landscapes. 
    • Experience in multiple science disciplines relevant to the Feedbase Program (preferably including soil and plant science, and biometrics, or other relevant fields such as plant pathology, entomology, biotechnology)
    • Project management experience including project planning, negotiation, budgeting, implementation and review.
    • The ability to quickly understand unfamiliar science areas and communicate them in a simple way to a lay audience.
