Your main responsibilities:
- Project work in partly international vehicle development projects according to PEP in close coordination with the departments involved;
- Active participation in the Simultaneous Engineering Team Steel as well as regular communication with the Technical Procurement staff and the Commodity Team;
- Selecting suppliers, controlling and ensuring on-time delivery of purchased parts for A1 and A2 samples, prototypes, initial samples, pilot series, pilot series and start of production with a focus on steel;
- Negotiation of purchasing conditions;
- Ensuring the assigned project targets, in coordination with the commodity team incl. scheduling, controlling and reporting;
- Synchronization and exchange with other projects;
- Making decisions regarding the subproject and initiating measures;
Therefore, a successful candidate would have:
- Several years of professional experience in project purchasing with international orientation;
- Knowledge of international markets (BCC, LCC etc.), suppliers, technologies, manufacturing processes and cost structures as well as material knowledge with focus on “components and assemblies” made of steel;
- Legal knowledge, especially in BGB, HGB, product liability and contract law;
- Experience in the practical application of manufacturing and costing processes in the purchasing area;
- Confident handling of SAP (MM, BW) and MS Office;
- German and English fluent and business fluent;
