My client is a leading Financial Services organisation experiencing massive organic growth within the lending sector. My client is seeking a high calibre Qualified Big 4 1st Mover who is currently an Audit Manager / Senior Manager, or 2nd Mover currently performing a similar role.
This is a broad and high profile role giving you the opportunity to make a real impact on the business, with a clear pathway to progression to Financial Controller.

Description
Responsibilities include:

• Managing and providing leadership to the finance team
• Overseeing the financial control process including month end close, reconciliations, journal adjustments, prepayments and accruals
• Performing financial consolidation
• Preparation of financial statements
• Preparation and lodgement of tax returns, BAS & FBT
• Working closely with various AASB standards
• Liaising with the external auditors
• Overseeing the monthly management reporting process including variance analysis of budget vs actual, identify drivers of variance, preparation of board reports.
• Assisting in the annual budgeting process and long-term strategic planning, as well as periodic re-forecasting to support business decision-making.
• Providing insightful commentary and detailed reporting to stakeholders, including equity investors and sophisticated debt providers.
• Conducting adhoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.

Profile
This is an excellent opportunity for a CA Qualified Big 4 1st Mover who is currently an Audit Manager / Senior Manager, or 2nd Mover currently performing a similar role to broaden their exposure and work for a well known brand with excellent progression opportunities. 

The successful candidate must be:

• CA / CPA qualified 
• Must have Financial Services background, ideally within Lending / Securitisation
• 5+ years experience across Big 4 External Audit / similar Finance Manager role within a Group Finance team
• Experience working closely with various AASB standards
• Experience with technical Accounting papers
• Strong tax background and internal controls background
• Confidence and the ability to hold your own when liaising with senior stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, hands on approach, can-do attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Curious by nature, adaptable, resilient, problem solver, team player
• Enjoys working in a collaborative environment
• Advanced / Intermediate Excel skills (ability to build pivots, v-lookups and complex formulas)

Job Offer
This is a permanent role and the salary on offer is $150k to $160k base + super + bonus potential.
