As we embark on a transformative journey expanding artificial intelligence (AI) into our remaining strategies and products, we seek a passionate AI Technical Evangelist to be a focal point for this charge.

Role Overview:

The AI Technical Evangelist at Quilt Software will serve as a key orchestrator of our AI initiatives. Reporting directly to the CTO, this role blends technical expertise with business acumen to ensure all AI-related efforts align with Quilt’s overarching vision. The ideal candidate lives and breathes AI, wakes up thinking about it, and thrives in an environment where innovation and strategy intersect.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Advocacy and Awareness:
• Champion AI technology across Quilt, raising awareness and fostering enthusiasm at all organizational levels.
• Run educational and promotional initiatives to drive awareness and adoption of AI within Quilt.
• Strategic Oversight:
• Take ownership of the CTO’s AI strategic initiatives, driving projects from conception to execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Quilt’s AI roadmap.
• Identify emerging AI trends and technologies, evaluating their relevance and impact on Quilt’s operations and products.
• Consensus Building:
• Serve as a unifying voice for AI initiatives, ensuring all teams are aligned and “oaring in the same direction.”
• Facilitate discussions and workshops to gather input, address concerns, and build support for AI-driven decisions.
• Operational Integration:
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AI solutions into Quilt’s workflows, products, and services.
• Measure and communicate the impact of AI initiatives on efficiency, revenue, and customer experience. Prioritize initiatives based on expected outcomes and demonstrated progress.
• Thought Leadership:
• Represent Quilt’s AI vision both internally and externally, contributing to thought leadership through blogs, presentations, or conferences. Prepare board updates on AI strategy quarterly.
• Build Quilt’s reputation as an AI-driven innovator within the industry.

Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Deep understanding of and demonstrated curiosity about AI technologies, frameworks, and trends.
• Experience in AI strategy, product development, or implementation.
• Business Acumen:
• Ability to assess the financial and operational impact of AI initiatives.
• Strong decision-making skills with a balance of innovation and pragmatism.
• Leadership and Communication:
• Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional storytelling skills to articulate complex AI concepts to diverse audiences.
• Senior project management and communication skills; the ability to manage the management of projects and to communicate at an executive level about the status and impact of detailed operational programs.

Preferred Background:

• 2+ years of experience in AI-focused roles (e.g., AI Strategist, Technical Evangelist, Product Manager, Technical or Strategy Consultant or similar).
• 4+ years of experience working at the intersection of technology and business, ideally in SaaS or software companies.

Salary: $165k – $175k, depending on experience
