Job OverviewWe are actively seeking a committed Sales Representative to become a vital member of our dynamic team. In this capacity, you will assess customer needs and deliver precise estimates for service projects, thereby contributing significantly to the seamless operation of our service team and the efficient delivery of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate service repair quotes in collaboration with technicians, customers, and the service team.
- Manage and track leads, opportunities, and estimates utilizing our CRM system.
- Respond to inquiries and quotation requests through various communication channels, including phone, email, and website.
- Provide clear and professional quotes, ensuring a responsive and positive customer experience.
- Regularly follow up on outstanding quotes to improve effectiveness.
- Gather necessary product pricing and information from manufacturers and vendors.
- Create tailored preventative maintenance (PM) proposals based on customer requirements and requests.
- Support various departmental tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including Confidence Testing in Washington and Oregon.
- Collaborate with outside sales, project managers, and business development teams to achieve business objectives.
- Maintain and update pricing agreements with key vendors.
- Manage recurring service pricing and Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA).
- Prepare estimates, change orders, and maintain communication with project managers and customers.
- Negotiate terms with external partners and oversee customer purchase orders (POs).
- Coordinate service job openings and handover documentation as necessary.
- Follow up with customers on estimates and accurately maintain customer data in the CRM system.
- Continuously seek to enhance customer satisfaction and improve Net Promoter Scores (NPS).
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating a proactive approach to sales and customer relations.
- Intermediate knowledge of products and services relevant to the service solutions industry.
- Excellent customer service aptitude, with the ability to comprehend and fulfill client needs.
- Exceptional time management skills, enabling prioritization of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
- Experience in project management and coordination of service initiatives.
- Capacity for collaborative work across various teams and departments to meet business objectives.
- Highly organized, with meticulous attention to detail in quotes, proposals, and record-keeping.
- Strong ability to multitask, managing multiple orders and tasks concurrently.
- Proficient in relevant software applications and advanced computer skills.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the marine or power generation industries, or a related sector.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a relevant field is preferred. Coursework in sales, customer relationship management, or service management is advantageous.
- 2-5 years of experience in a sales role, ideally within the service solutions industry or a comparable field.
- Proven experience in preparing customer quotes, managing inquiries, and fostering customer relationships is essential.
