Back End Developer (Remote)

We’re seeking a skilled Senior Backend (Node.js) Engineer to join a Sweden-based company dedicated to developing unlimited and customer-friendly eCommerce solutions. Their approach integrates CGI with structured ecosystems, focusing on building innovative platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a full-stack application for digital asset management, involving dynamic data schemas, real-time 3D scene processing, and customer-specific configurations. The position emphasizes cutting-edge cloud and backend technologies to enhance user experiences.

Must-have for the position:

• From 5 years of professional experience with Node.js in backend development;
• From 2 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform for deployment and scaling;
• Experience with configuration infrastructure and environments to support your work or projects;
• Experience in building architecture from scratch or migrating existing architecture to the cloud;
• From 2 years of experience with PostgreSQL (ot other RDMS)
• Demonstrated ability to handle dynamic, customer-specific requirements;
• English Level: Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

Will be a strong plus:

• ​Experience working with 3D scene/image processing applications;
• Familiarity with advanced eCommerce ecosystems and CGI integration;
• Experience in front-end technologies including React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

Responsibilities:

• Build a new CDN infrastructure and backend systems from scratch using Node.js and GCP;
• Lead architectural design, including migration from third-party to in-house solutions, and create technical documentation;
• Design and manage GCP infrastructure, optimizing services like storage, CDN, and compute for performance and cost;
• Independently set up and manage environments with basic DevOps practices;
• Work with PostgreSQL for schema design and optimization; suggest alternatives if beneficial;
• Ensure high performance and scalability of backend services with caching and other techniques;
• Work closely with stakeholders and team members to align technical and business objectives;

About the project

The project revolves around creating a full-stack application for digital asset management, leveraging a sophisticated tech stack to deliver dynamic and scalable solutions. The platform integrates real-time image processing capabilities and customer-specific configuration tools.

• Tech Stack: Node.js, React, Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Google Cloud Platform;
• Team Composition: Solution Architect, Senior Full-Stack Developer, CTO.

Working conditions:

• Work schedule: Flexible, with active hours: 12 PM – 4 PM (Eastern European Time);
• Fully Remote: You can work from home;
• Part-time possibility: full-time/part-time from 4 hours/day;
• Duration of the project: from 4 to 8 months depending on work model (with opportunities for prolongation).
