As we scale, we’re looking for a talented Business Development Manager to help us expand our network of higher education institutional partners and drive the next phase of growth.

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in forging strategic partnerships with universities and colleges. You will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new institutional partners, building long-term relationships, and working closely with the product and strategy teams to ensure our platform meets the unique needs of higher education institutions. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, proactive, and resourceful leader with a passion for higher education and technology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with key decision-makers at universities and colleges (including career services, academic departments, and student organizations) to introduce our platform and secure new institutional partnerships.
  • Outreach & Lead Generation: Develop and execute outbound strategies (e.g., cold calling, emailing, networking) to generate leads and nurture relationships with potential institutional partners. Use data to track outcomes and adjust strategies for maximum impact.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a detailed pipeline of prospects, track progress, and ensure timely follow-up to close deals. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on pipeline progress, partnership performance, and market trends.
  • Market Research: Utilize insights from market research to continuously refine business development strategies, ensuring they remain relevant and impactful.
  • Customer Success: Support onboarding and act as the primary point of contact for institutions, ensuring consistent communication and a high level of satisfaction with our partnership.
  • Brand Representation: Represent the company at workshops, industry events, and conferences to build brand awareness and establish your network within the higher education community.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the higher education sector, technology, or recruitment industries.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in closing strategic partnerships, particularly with educational institutions or related organizations.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the higher education landscape, especially around student recruitment, career services, and institutional priorities.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills. The ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to leverage data to inform decisions and drive results.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment, with a willingness to experiment and innovate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with AI, EdTech, or recruitment platforms within higher education.
  • Existing network within key universities, colleges, or other educational institutions.
  • Familiarity with current challenges and trends in university recruitment and student career development.
