Ux Ui Designer (Remote)

Top 5 Responsibilities:

As an IC, own & lead the product design process to ship high quality products in collaboration with product, engineering, QA, and other teams.

Deliver user & business value with UX impact measured through quant & qual metrics and improved through feedback loops

Conduct qualitative user research like interviews, focus groups, and field observations.

Craft UI on Figma in a hands-on way after conducting usability tests in low-fi wireframes.

Given that we’re omnichannel, ensure the offline UX & UI is in sync with the app’s UX & UI wherever applicable.

Top 5 Must Haves:

3-4 years work-ex in a consumer internet product design role, especially in ecommerce apps & websites

Experience in information architecture, visual hierarchy, and interaction design patterns.

Experience using over-the-shoulder observation and session replay tools (like UXCam) to identify choke points & opportunities

Strong UI design experience on Figma including auto layouts and dev hand-offs.

Evidence of staunch advocacy for the user, steadfast evangelism for good design, and storytelling.

Top 5 Good to Haves:

⁠Experience with e-commerce or healthcare brands.

⁠Having a design blog or any published articles

Slick UX copywriting skills

Understanding of fundamentals of UX design theory and their application in real life (Hick’s Law, Fitt’s Law, Gestalt Principles, Nielsen’s 10 heuristics, Shneiderman’s Eight Golden Rules, etc.)

Advanced UI design experience on Figma including components and animations.

Top 5 things we evaluate in the selection process:

Hands-on UI skills on Figma, incl making prototypes

Skills in conducting effective & minimal-bias UX research & usability tests

Level of Cognitive Empathy
