At LawPods, we help the largest law firms in the world launch and produce professional, network-building, revenue-generating podcasts. Our clients show up for podcast interviews while we handle EVERYTHING else (strategy, outlines, virtual recording, editing, show notes, transcripts, marketing videos/images/audio, website posting, and social media.)

You Have…
- 5+ years of podcast editing experience (real editing experience. A few freelance jobs will not be considered)
- RX experience
- Knowledge of audio mixing, sound design, and music selection
- Experience with recording and editing sound effects, music, and voiceover
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- The ability to discern relevant material within conversational audio
- A passion for helping people relate their stories and a keen ear for sound quality
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with co-workers
- Bachelor’s degree in audio production, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with remote teamwork
- Experience with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and project management software (Asana experience a plus)
- Speak English as a first language or bilingual (C1+)
- Not offended by colorful language
- Able to work US Eastern Time
Role Description
- Professionally engineer and edit multi-track episodes, including noise reduction, breath reduction, de-essing, compression, removing filler words, stumbles, false starts, and requested edits. We are not a chop shop; we spend considerable time and attention ensuring our clients receive the best quality audio.
- Select appropriate places in episodes for ads (pre, post, mid)
- Work closely with producers and project managers to ensure accuracy across every project
- Help select soundtracks for intros/outros/trailers and mix soundtracks with voiceover.
- Consistently documenting and refining our processes and procedures
- Train new employees and create training videos to help with employee onboarding.
- Solve client audio problems in a fast, effective manner that makes the client think, “damn, that was good.”
- Think on the client’s behalf – you must be strategic and understand the larger picture; you can’t get caught in the weeds.
- Understand clients’ podcasts and their history with LawPods to have a precise understanding of each client’s needs and what their show should look and sound like.
This role requires you to study the industry continuously, use the available resources, and study our existing work for clients to develop a clear understanding of how we work. This requires initiative. When you have downtime, use that time to learn about everything we do and how we do it. Ask as many questions as needed during regular training.
