Application Infrastructure Analyst Ii Applications Analyst Ii | City of Edmonton | Canada
The Information Technology Division of the Edmonton Police Service requires one (1) Application and Infrastructure Analyst who is self-motivated, innovative, and organized with exceptional technical, application development and interpersonal skills to support the Operational Video Systems.
- Responsibilities will include: Working with project resources from various teams to design, implement, document, operate, and optimize enterprise-wide operational video initiatives that include digital evidence management systems, video aggregation, body worn video, interview rooms and in-car video.
- Working with resources from various teams to support various enterprise applications with a focus on operational video.
- Specialized operational video experience at a applications analyst level in the implementation and integration of operational video initiatives/projects.
- Conduct technical analysis, execute configuration changes, perform testing, and resolve support requests at all support tiers (Tier 1,2 and 3) for operational video.
- Recommend, Implement and Service health monitoring for supported applications and leading incident response in response to service impacting events.
- Assist with feasibility, cost, design, and specification documents for new or production operational video systems.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve issues for items including, but not limited to, hardware, software, operating systems, networks, software integrations, and cloud services for operational video solutions.
- Contribute towards the architecture design and documentation of video solutions.
- Install, configure and system test new video-based technologies.
- Administer integrations between applications and/or SaaS environments.
- Create, update, and maintain training materials, procedures, and standards for operational video solutions.
- Provide application training as required.
- Performing other job-related duties as required.
- Participating in a paid on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and 4 years relevant experience OR Post-secondary diploma in a related discipline and 5 years relevant experience OR 1 year related certificate and 7 years relevant experience.
- A minimum of one-year experience with video related business processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of security fundamentals and best practices.
- Demonstrable experience in deploying, managing, and maintaining enterprise video management solutions.
- Certifications related to video technologies are an asset.
- Experience with Windows operating systems.
- Experience with networking including VPNs, wireless, switching, routing, firewalls.
- Experience with enterprise scale video and evidence management technologies such as Genetec Security Center, Genetec Clearance, RTSP, interview room, body worn video and in-car video.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills with a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to excel within a team environment.
Hours of Work:
- 33.75 hours per week between 08:30-16:30 hours, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of variable hours of work program, Incumbents must be available for call-out outside of these hours on a rotational basis.
Salary Range:
- 21M, Salary Grade 032, $51.17 – $65.30 (Hourly), $3,454.00 – $4,407.80 (Bi-Weekly), $90,150.51 – $115,044.04 (Annually)
The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
